This is Ella. She should be called the STARescue's million dollar cat. She has cost the rescue over £3,000 to date and we are still fund-raising to pay off her bill. She came in as a stray with a very sore neck. Four month later and six weeks in veterinary care, she developed M.R.S.A. Obviously, the veterinary practice could not afford to take the risk of keeping her there, so, it left me with two options; to have her put to sleep, or bring her back to the rescue and treat her myself. Of course, I chose to bring her back and treated her, which was a very difficult and long procedure.
